"2017 CHRISTMAS STOCKINGS FOR VETERANS" DRIVE

The Tuesday Club of Assonet would like to express our heartfelt thanks for your wonderful generosity during the 2017 Christmas Season.

Special thanks to the VFW 6643 Post in East Freetown, American Legion Post 121 in Berkley, Freetown Senior Center, Freetown Town Hall, and Lial Insurance in Somerset for being Santa’s helpers by hosting collections centers and for their additional donations.

We were able to donate 34 Christmas Stockings and a box of miscellaneous items to the Brockton VA hospital. Also donated were 25 feeding bibs and 4 fleece lap robes, and 43 knitted lap robes made by volunteers and members.

The Veteran’s Transition Home in New Bedford received 28 Christmas Stockings along with a box of miscellaneous items and 34 pairs of trousers and jeans.

We would also like to thank Alice and the residents for all their help
at Strawberry Festival time!

Clothe-A-Child donations were made to the Salvation Army of Fall River, MA

We cannot do this without all of you!
Thank you!
